Buggy was a hurricane rescue, estimated to be 2 to 3 weeks old when we found him alone in the storm. He was about 4 weeks old the first time this adorable kitten sat on my chest, looked me in the face, and swung at me. From there, I felt like I would never be able to control this cat. He bit at my eyes and face when I woke up in the morning, scratched and bit at my hands any time I was sitting still, no less, or when I had to approach him for any reason. I believed I had an aggressive, uncontrollable cat on my hands.
Through the strategies Mary has taught Buggy and I, over the last year, I have realized that I actually have a very affectionate and loving, gentle and very timid cat. Prior to meeting Mary, all the advice I had been given caused him, if anything, to be more aggressive! Mary observed my cat and our interaction and provided clear instructions that were easy to apply. Since working with her, I have learned how to approach my guy and bring out his gentle nature, help him gain confidence to calm his fears, and train him to bring out his sweet, affectionate side. Mary not only helped Buggy and I build a healthy relationship, but our vet also noticed the difference in Buggy after working with Mary.
I now enjoy a loving and bonded relationship with my guy, that is very rewarding. Instead of what could have been a nightmare cat, with Mary’s scientifically informed and experienced expert advice, he has brought fulfillment and joy into our home. I am so grateful to have learned about Mary’s practice. Not only did she save my home from disaster, she has also taught me how to create a relationship with my boy that I will cherish his whole life.
